Specialist EVCP installer training. In conjunction with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), we offer specialist electric vehicle charge point (EVCP) installer training.

This is aimed at electrical contractors and practising electricians that would like to become electric vehicle charge point (EVCP) installation partners of Car Charged UK.

Through a combination of online modules and a practical assessment at our new facility, training covers key aspects of EVCP installation and leads to the industry-recognised City & Guilds 2919 certification.

The qualification covers the specialised installation requirements of EV charging equipment in public, private and commercial locations. This includes inspection, testing and handing over of EV charging equipment.

  • Module 1

    Online training City & Guilds Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation

    This course will look at the requirements detailed in Section 722 of BS 7671:2018+A1:2020 as well as the IET Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation, 4th Edition.

    The course will also help to enhance your expertise on the best practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation, providing you with a deeper understanding of how to select and use the correct earthing systems to protect against electric shock as well looking into vehicle-to-grid, on street installations and smart infrastructure integration.

    We would recommend that you purchase a copy of The Code of Practice For Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation, Fourth Edition to get the best out of this course.
